Currently, Palestinians living in East Jerusalem, or those of whom commute and work in Israel or its West Bank settlements, are entitled to be vaccinated by the Israeli government — however the majority of Palestinians living under Israeli occupation, even those administering the vaccines to other Palestinians, are not.

Over the past few months, a scandal has erupted around the Dean of the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Law, after he rescinded an offer given to legal scholar Valentina Azarova to lead the faculty’s International Human Rights Program.
All these things I will mourn on Nakba Day. I will join the millions of dispossessed, downtrodden and humiliated who have not given up on the future and who still believe there is a chance, who stand as witnesses and as firebrands of the true human spirit.
