Windsor-Essex YCL-LJC members came out in support and solidarity with Unifor Local 1999 and all locked-out HVAC workers at Reliance Home Comfort.
On January 5th, 2021, Unifor Local 444 President David Cassidy called for an immediate blockade of the Fiat-Chrysler Automobiles (FCA, now known as Stellantis) Windsor Assembly Plant Minivan Yard as another 60 workers were put on the chopping block, set to be laid off.
On a cool Tuesday morning in November, Windsor Overdose Prevention Society (OPS), Family Services Windsor-Essex, YQG Cares, and members of the YCL-LJC Windsor-Essex club took part in a brief demonstration to raise awareness that the City of Windsor was planning to forcibly evict those in the local tent city.
